Patricia
has operated Patty Cake Preschool, a nationally
accredited family child care business, since
1989. She is a frequent presenter of workshops
on issues related to professionalism in
family child care as well as issues influencing
positive partnerships between parents and
child care providers. She enjoys these opportunities
to share the stories of her journey towards
professionalism and help her colleagues
in early childhood obtain the respect and
appreciation they deserve.
Patricia
also presents lectures at training events
to adoptive parents, birthparents and adoption
counselors for adoption agencies and pregnancy
centers. She shares her personal story with
honesty and emotion in order to illustrate
the beauty of adoption when the elements
of trust, respect and understanding are
embraced.
